If you think you would like to try some "Kiwi Dirt Sim Racing" then this Help page will explain how you you can start racing.

Step 1/
Firstly, you have to download the PC racing game called rFactor.  You can download the official free rFactor trial game by clicking Here, click here and then click the blue arrow.  Once you have downloaded this free trial install it on your PC.  NOTE: rFactor is a PC Game only, sorry no playstations or xbox.  Start up the game and you get a free 60 minute trial of the rFactor game.

Step 2/
If your pc can handle running the above free trial game then add our NZ Stockcars and a Dirt Track.
Click here for the NZ Stockcars v1.1 file and click here for a Dirt Track called Aotearoa International Speedway.
As in the previous step (1) once you have downloaded these 2 files install them on your PC.  Start your trial rFactor game up and use the games menu to find the NZ Stockcars and do a race at the Aotearoa Track.  Remember the trial game only lasts for 60 minutes.

Step 3/
If you like the rFactor game and wish to fully enjoy all the hundreds of different cars and tracks that can be added to the game you will have to purchase the full version of rFactor.  You can purchase the rFactor game with a credit card from this trial version you have installed.  In the game you will be prompted to buy the game with a credit card.  If you cannot buy the game with a credit card some Gaming Stores do stock rFactor but not many do.  If you need help to purchase rFactor the old fashion way then post a message anywhere on our KDSR Forums or email Rikstr @ -email-

Step 4/
Racing online, if you have purchased the full version of rFactor, successfully raced it on your PC (we use the term for racing on your own PC as "racing offline"), and wish to race online then your best way forward is to post on our forums for help as there are many different cars and tracks to download from many different communities such as KDSR.  We race NZ Stockcars on NZ Speedway tracks, we race our own Breka and Spike Midget cars on USA tracks, we also race many different tarseal cars on tracks from all over the world.  These different cars and tracks are what we call "Mods" which are all for the game "rFactor".  If you don't own rFactor then none of the Mods will work for you.
